Indian Rural Development Programme

In India, out of total population of 121 crores, 83.3 crores live in rural areas (Census of India 2011) This, nearly 70% of India's population lives in rural areas. The term rural development is the overall development of rural areas to improve the quality of rural people. Rural development programme intend to reduce the poverty and unemployment,to improve the health and educational status and to fulfill the basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing of rural people.Government of India launched some schemes through the planning Commission of India such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act(MGNREGA), Rashtriya Rozgaar Yojana(SGRY), Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojana(PMGSY), Integrated Child Development Services(ICDS), etc. All these schemes are aimed to reduce the gap between rural and urban people which would help to reduce imbalances. 

                                The basic objectives of Rural Development Programmes have been alleviation of poverty and unemployment through creation of basic social and economic infrastructure. It is a innovative design to improve the economic and social life of rural people. It is all about bringing change in rural community from the traditional way of living to progressive way of living. The government of India has taken so many steps for development.

                                          We will discuss implications of Indian rural development

                                       The implications of India rural development is that people aware about the rights and policy get benifited through employment opportunities for the rural poor by building up small-scale household activities based on local resources and serving local markets. 

                       Around 83.3 crore people of India live in rural areas. In rural areas their is always a problems of poverty, unemployment and inadequate infrastructure in comparison of urban areas. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act(MGNREGA), is considered as a "Silver Bullet" for eradicating rural poverty and unemployment, by way of generating demand for productive labour force in Indian village's. Since India got independence, national wide rural development programmes were started by the government of India with the objective of socio-economic development of rural people's like Non Financial Entities, Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushal Yojana, Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana, Adarsh Gram Yojana etc. gives prior attention to rural development. As we all know that government of India has launched many scheme to the development of rural people, but sometimes we should not get benifited through this. The government must check the state level worker's that they are working in a good manner or not and state also has to take responsibility that district must follow the scheme and benifited. Government should concentrate on the development of small industries in rural areas so it would help in the further development of rural areas and their people like Potter, khadi clothes etc. "Today youth have a great contribution to the development of future." As we all know that now's a day we had have benifited with the scheme launched by government of India but the better implementation of those programmes must be monitoring in a best way. 

              "Development of village lead to the development of cities and development of cities lead to the development of the country."
