Indian Women Wake Up

Women have always been the most vulnerable and oft-exploited section of society in any age, time, place. In ancient times, due to the lack of opportunities and health facilities, the low status of women became a vicious circle that needed to be broken to enhance the development of India. for ages, women have been the victims of humiliation, torture, exploitation, and violence.

 Today, child marriage is prevalent in several developing countries. Since 1929, India has the highest number of child brides in the world. Child marriages have been a major cause in increasing the frequency of HIV/AIDS, delicate pregnancies, and other such health implications of women. When a girl is forced to marry as a child, she faces immediate and lifelong consequences. Her odds of finishing school decrease while her odds of being abused by her husband increase. 

Another social evil prevalent in society even today is the dowry system which has been deeply rooted in the culture and customs of most communities in India and is a cause of harassment for most women. This has led to a situation where the girl child is not accepted in her own marital home. Many times they commit suicide due to the circumstances. The major reason for the occurrence of the dowry system is the lack of education due to which they remain unaware of their rights. The lack of education leads to a lack of empowerment. They remain economically dependent on others and fail to be the masters of their own life. 

The voice of women is never taken into action but women are always blamed for their dressing sense, their way of sitting and talking to people, and some mishappen. Women are the topic of discussion in our society these days. It's a humble request to all the girls and women out there never let your self-respect go down.
